A Quick Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Udy were passing through Utah a few weekends ago and stopped by for the night with us. We love when they come to see us and the kids were thrilled! We love you.

What will $.25 get you?

A ticket to the BYU vs. Utah baseball game. With a price like that, you "have" to go.

Happy Birthday Ty!

Yesterday was Tyler's 1st birthday. My baby is growing up way too fast and is just as precious and sweet. We had a simple celebration with the family and enjoyed every minute sharing this special day with him.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Udy as well as Nana and Pops for the special birthday gifts.

I thought every 1 year old was supposed to enjoy their birthday cake and devour it to pieces, but Tyler wanted his cake no where near his mouth. One bite was enough for him and he actually spit it out! What kid doesn't like chocolate frosting??!! (Duncan Hines makes dairy free cake mixes as well as frosting) If you notice, his face is practically clean and all he did to the cake was poke holes all over.

We soon found out that Happy Birthday is Tyler's new favorite song. Every time we sang to him, his face lit up with the biggest grin ever.

We love you Ty and are so thankful to have you in our family. You bring so much happiness to us all!

This last picture was just too funny not to share!

A Sweet Experience

Last week our family had a special experience, and we were all able to attend the Open House of the new Draper, Utah temple. All four kids, Clint and myself got to experience the beautiful temple up close and walk through each of the magnificent rooms. I really think the kids felt the special spirit there and loved the opportunity to be able to go inside the temple.

When we got to the Celestial Room we all sat down on a couch together and marveled at the beauty in that room. Hanging from the ceiling was the biggest and most beautiful chandelier I have ever seen. I looked over at Macy sitting next to me and noticed tears in her eyes. I asked her what she was feeling inside and she said she felt the most incredible feeling that she couldn't explain. Her words brought tears to my eyes and I just think of how all six of us sitting there on the couch together is just a foreshadowing of how we will be a family together forever for the eternities.

Grocery Guru

Our last Enrichment night was a real treat. The "Grocery Guru" came to share with us some grocery shopping secrets and how to save over 50% off your grocery bill. He was amazing. The following Tuesday we also had the opportunity to go shopping with him. We went to Smith's and purchased $103.00 in groceries and with using our coupons and buying things with promotions I only spent $40.00. Wow!

Blast from the past

Friday evening our ward had an 80's themed Valentine's Party, and what a fun time we had! I can not say enough our awesome our ward is and how much fun we have with all of the people who live here. It was a fun evening with good company.

For one game about 25 theme songs were played to shows from the 80's and we had to guess which show went with which song. Talk about a flash back.

And do you remember those plastic charm necklaces? One lady had actually kept hers all these years and wore it that night. She won the prize, jelly bracelets, for best accessory.

Check out Clint in his pink polo shirt, and I made some groovy gloves for the occasion.

Seriously...

can this show be any funnier? I bow down to the writers of The Office and if you have not had the pleasure of viewing it, you have to start. It is hilarious and you will not be disappointed.
