BYU Game

We were lucky enough to be given tickets to the BYU vs. Colorado State game held on Saturday. The whole family went and the kids had a blast. Before the game started, we walked over to the BYU Bookstore and let each of the kids pick out a BYU shirt to wear to the game. They thought that was the neatest thing.

Macy enjoyed doing the wave with the rest of the crowd, Abby loved watching the Cheerleaders and Dancers, Blake loved cheering for BYU, and Tyler was just happy to be there.

It was a wonderful way to spend the evening with the family and we loved it!

Trip Down Memory Lane

Friday evening we attended a wedding reception of a family from our last ward. Before going to the event, we drove past our old home. Just driving down the street gave me butterflies in my stomach from all the wonderful memories we made in that neighborhood. The kids were excited to see the house, but it just doesn't look the same. The trees have gotten huge, but the yard was not as well taken care of. We parked the car outside the house and reminisced.

It was also nice to see our old friends and catch up on each other's lives.

Look Who's Five...

Blake!
My little guy is five today and I can't tell you how lucky we are to have him in our family. I tell Blake, "I love you!" And he tells me, "I love you more!" What a sweetheart.

Friday afternoon we had a pirate birthday party for Blake and he invited 6 of his pirate friends. The boys had so much fun and I think Blake really enjoyed spending that special time with all of his pals.

Summer is...

Over!

I do not know where the summer has gone, but it's official, it's over. Today was the girls first day back to school, and they couldn't have been more excited. They set their alarm to wake at 6:30 a.m. and they came up stairs all dressed and ready for they day.

So now we will have to exchange these lazy days for

these. Dressed for school in our uniforms!

A Humbling Day

Our ward has become so large it was necessary for us to split into two wards. So this last Sunday, that is exactly what happened. Our one ward became two and Clint was made our new bishop.

When we were both called into the Stake President's office and Clint was asked to be the new bishop, I immediately began crying. I just knew this was going to be an overwhelming call at first, but then I began to think of how wonderful this will be. I couldn't help but think of all the good he can do, and what an example and source of strength he can be for others.

Since he was issued the call there has been an amazing feeling in our home of peace and love, and I know that we will be blessed during this time as Clint serves the ward.

I am so grateful for you Clint and the amazing example you are to me!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

This last week we had a wonderful afternoon and spent our time touring the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. What a beautiful building and a special opportunity to be with all our kids at the temple. They all marveled at it's beauty and Abby especially enjoyed the chandeliers and the bride's changing room.

I "do" love to see the temple.
