The sign of a good baby....

is one who does not scream his head off when his parents accidentally lock him in the van for about 10-15 minutes by his lonesome.

Yes, that is what happened to Tyler yesterday evening. We were invited to a friend's house last evening for some refreshments and we successfully got 3 kids out of the van, but left the fourth inside with the keys by accident. Ooops!

Our nice friend drove Clint back to the hotel to retrieve the spare keys, and about 15 minutes later we saved Tyler from the van. He didn't even make a peep, but played with his toys until we could get to him.

I love good natured babies!

Family Movie Night

The last two Fridays we have had "Family Movie Night" here at the hotel. The first week we watched "Miss Potter." Loved that movie! And just this last Friday we watched "Nancy Drew." Another very family friendly pick. We all get comfortable, pile together on the couch, eat an unhealthy amount of popcorn, and enjoy a movie together. The kids love it, and it has really been a special time to share together.

How Sweet

The other day Tyler was napping on my bed, and Blake often likes to go over and talk to him as well as showering him with kisses. This particular time he decided to take a nap with Tyler and I just had to capture the moment.

Magic

Every morning here at the hotel I wake up to the kids saying, "I'm hungry!" So I roll out of bed, try to make myself look presentable and race downstairs with the kids to enjoy breakfast. I don't even stop to make the bed. When they are hungry, we go. And then an amazing thing happens. We leave the bedroom looking like this....

And we return to see it looking like this! I love magic!

A Fun Fourth

Our Fourth of July this year was relaxing, and the day started off with a knock on our room door. We opened the door and to our surprise there was one of the staff workers with red and blue balloons and a big handful of Pepperidge Farm cookies. In his broken English he said, "For the kids." Gandolfo is from Columbia and is always coming over to say hello to us and the kids. Although it is hard to communicate with him because of the language barrier, a warm smile and friendly wave can speak volumes!

Later that evening we enjoyed listening to the Salt Lake City Symphony and watched some spectacular fireworks that lasted for almost 30 minutes! We were literally right under the fireworks and had some awesome views. The mountains in the background just made things even more beautiful!

And what could a Fourth of July celebration be without a nice, big, snow cone!

A Wonderful Discovery

Just last week we were all outside playing tennis here at the hotel, and I sent a tennis ball flying into some trees. We immediately heard some birds chirping and noticed a perfect little nest perched in its branches. Out popped 3 very hungry little birdie heads and I immediately lifted each of the kids to view the wonderful discovery.

I have never seen such open mouthed birds before. You could tell they were hungry and looking for their mommy. We have been checking on the birds everyday and just yesterday they were big and strong enough to fly the coop.
