Giveaway Time!

One thing I love about blogs, is that often times they host giveaways. So I have decided to host my very first giveaway and am excited to share it with all of you. Up for grabs we have a Valentine craft, handmade by yours truly. It makes me smile!

So, here are the rules. You can enter by leaving a comment on this post and telling me what you love about Valentine's Day. All comments need to be entered by Thursday, 11:59 p.m. The winner will be drawn randomly from a hat and announced Friday morning. I will then get the winner's information to send it off to you and on it's way.

Good luck to everyone, and don't forget to tell the special people in your lives, "I Love You!"

I have never been a big fan of Valentine's Day. Especially when I was a teenager. My sisters would always come home with tons of roses and I might be lucky to come home with one.

My adorable husband had no idea how much I disliked Valentine's Day. So instead of proposing on Valentine's Day, he waited till the day after.

Let's just say he feels like he has been making up for it the last 15 years. AND he has been awesome. Whether it is the nice evening we get to spend together or just the sweet words he gives.

I have to admit, I love Valentine's NOW and am very grateful to have a special someone to share the day with.

I LOVE HIM!!!

Valentines day helps me focus on heart and soul and love and kindness. My family and friends mean everything to me. Oh how I love them!

I love doing things for other people. And I love the giveaways the day inspires. The chocolate, cookies, and flowers are also nice. Wish you were here to spoil!

I should love Valentine's day now that I am married. But I don't love it so much now as I did when everyone in my family was single and my adorable big brother Jason would make his mom and 2 sisters his valentine. Each year he would buy us flowers in our favorite colors and lay them on our beds as a surprise. He definitely spoiled his girls!!

Pick me, pick me!!!

You are so darn cute Amy! If I'm not picked I want to make one myself =)

I love the PINK PANCAKES!!! I love celebrating holidays because Camrie gets so very excited. We'll have so much fun decorating the house with hearts, and making valentines for her Daddy and brother...

...maybe she'll make one for Blake. What a match made in heaven!

I love two things about Valentine's Day. #1: the fact that I don't have to worry if I will have a Valentine or not. My valentine is sealed to me, so he is stuck! #2: another fun excuse to do something cute for my kids and another chance to let them know they are loved. CUTE craft, Amy!!

I love valentines day! I love the chocolate, the sugar cookies, and the excuse to drape my kids in red from head to toe.

I love your craft project Amy, it looks great!

I have always loved hand making valentines. It is funny that I never felt like the 14th is only for romantic love. It has always been about love in general. Sharing it, giving it away, not what I am going to receive.
Although I will say, it certainly is fun to have someone to share romantic love with-

Valentine's Day gives guys an excuse to show their soft side without surrendering their macho image. It was created so we could get all gooey and mushy but still not be ridiculed by the other guys because of it. The hidden secret, of course, is that all of us real men truly do have a soft and delicious center, just like you find in your favorite box of Valentine candy!

I started when my kids were little with a special "fancy" Valentine's dinner, using good dishes and decorating the table with pink and red ribbon curls and hershey kisses or other treats. I make a special dessert and display it on the table during dinner. It was just my way of making the day special even though we couldn't go out, and my kids have loved it. At the time I even made special placemats for each of us, but I don't use those any more. It is one tradition I haven't missed on, even when we were living with in-laws.
